Valentina Tereshkova was born in the Yaroslavl Region of Russia on March 6, 1937. Her father was a tractor driver, and her mother was working in a textile planet. She was the second born of three children. She began school at the age of eight in 1945. She left school in 1953, and began working. Wondering of when she left school knowing she will be an remarkable women to our nations Nasa Organization.
Valentina Tereshkova at a young age was intrested in an a way of a space program. As of this time Nikita Khrushchev had a opening for Valentina. Nikati was picking for women for the training space program which Valentina accomplished. She was launched aboard Vostok 6 on June 16, 1963 and became the first woman to fly in space. Upon completion for her mission honored Hero of the Soviet Union. Fulfulling the spokesperson of the Soveit Union she won the Gold Medal of Peace.
