  • Your son will be a great king, or a religous leader
  • He shall be a king!!! Just like his father
  • Move get out of the way now!!!!!
  • Please, we are hungry and need food.
  • The life of the Buddha begins in a kingdom where he was raised. His name is Siddhartha Gautama. He was a prince circa 563 B.C. He lived in Nepal, and his life would be predicted to be a king, or a religious leader.
  • Please let me join your group, I need to realize the truth.
  • Why do you want to join our group.
  • In order to join our group you need to be in extreme self denial.
  • Sidd was raised very fortunate,  but some people in his town were very unfortunate, they would beg for food on the streets. His father didn't want Sidd to see this. He had guards that would follow him when he would go out of the kingdom. The prince had an amazing life, that included a wife and a child.
  • "Come, we shall leave this man. Who has brought this on himself."
  • I will not fail or quit from seeking the truth!
  • Sidd. didn't know who the poor, sad, and sick people were until he was 29. One night, he left his kingdom, and when he reached the city he was immediately begged by the poor and hungry. At that very moment he said that all the joy in his life disappeared. Then he left his old life in search of a new one.
  • You see, you can find truth and hope if you have a reasonable understanding of life.
  • After Sidd left his life, he wanted to join an ascetic group. This means that he will be forced to practice extreme self denial. Sidd would have to meditate for hours or even days. Being an ascetic he ate less, to the point he living off of one grain of rice and a jujube fruit. Sidd one day had some milk from a person, and the ascetics abandoned him.
  • When Sidd. strength returned, he kept his search for the truth. One day he meditated under a tree for 49 days. That tree is now recognized as the Bodhi tree. Since Sidd. Meditated there for days he kept telling himself that he was not going to leave that spot or position until he realized the truth. Sidd. was visited by Mara the god of death and desire. He tried to bribe Sidd.
  • After Mara's planned failed, he showered Sidd. with rocks. Then Sidd. would go deeper into meditation and achieve enlightenment or perfect wisdom. Once, Sidd. realized the truth he would go on travels and teach what the truth was to people of the towns that he passed through.
