  • 1st Day Working in a Classroom
  • Nice to meet you all, I'm Miss M.
  • A Little Hesitant in the Beginning
  • What I am suppose to do? Am I doing this right? What if they don't like me?
  • Gaining my Confidence
  • lets play a game!!
  • 10 years ago I worked in a classroom for the first time. This is when the beginning of my teaching journey. 
  • Evaluation Day
  • Teacher?? Me? Hhhmm...
  • The first couple of weeks I found myself keeping my distance. I did not know if I was right for this job and if i was even capable of being a good assistant.
  • National University
  • As weeks and months passed on, I became more confident in my job. I got to know the children and began to interact with them more. I started to look forward to going to work everyday.
  • Applying What I Am Learning
  • Alright Class, let's take seat on the meeting rug
  • At the end of year, during my evaluation, my program manager told me I got all positive marks from teachers and staff. She then asked me if I have ever considered becoming a teacher...
  • The following year I decided that I was going to major in Early Childhood Education and work towards getting my credentials to become a teacher.
  • Let's do this!
  • I started to learn so much during my ECE classes, I was applying the knowledge I was gaining to my work ethics in the classroom. When doing so I noticed the teacher letting me lead the class more. 
  • Continuing to Work in the Classroom
  • I really like this classroom setup
  • Finishing B.A. in Early Childhood Education
  • Yay!!! I did it!!!
  • My Own Classroom
  • My very own classroom!
  • As I continue to work in the classroom and go to school, I have become more confident in my techniques as a teacher. I am learning and observing the things I want to apply to my classroom one day.
  • Getting My Master's Degree 
  • I have to keep pushing forward
  • I will be recieving my B.A. in Early Childhood Education at the end of this week. I will then take the CBEST Test along with the CSET's to join a Teaching Program through the county I work for.
  • Becoming a Program Manager
  • Melissa Munoz Program Manager
  • Through the Teaching Program, I will be given a classroom that I can apply everything that I have learned. I will officially be the head teacher of my own classroom. 
  • To Be Continued...
  • However, even though I am already a teacher, I still want to continue to go to school to my Master's in Program Adminstration.
  • I would like to be a Program Manager for AcCEL Program in our county. I want to be advocate for children with special needs. I feel that if I continue to work hard I can make a difference in others lives.
  • We will see what the future holds for me...
  • This is not the end of my journey...
