What I am suppose to do? Am I doing this right? What if they don't like me?
Gaining my Confidence
lets play a game!!
10 years ago I worked in a classroom for the first time. This is when the beginning of my teaching journey.
Teacher?? Me? Hhhmm...
The first couple of weeks I found myself keeping my distance. I did not know if I was right for this job and if i was even capable of being a good assistant.
As weeks and months passed on, I became more confident in my job. I got to know the children and began to interact with them more. I started to look forward to going to work everyday.
Applying What I Am Learning
Alright Class, let's take seat on the meeting rug
At the end of year, during my evaluation, my program manager told me I got all positive marks from teachers and staff. She then asked me if I have ever considered becoming a teacher...
The following year I decided that I was going to major in Early Childhood Education and work towards getting my credentials to become a teacher.
Let's do this!
I started to learn so much during my ECE classes, I was applying the knowledge I was gaining to my work ethics in the classroom. When doing so I noticed the teacher letting me lead the class more.
Continuing to Work in the Classroom
I really like this classroom setup
Finishing B.A. in Early Childhood Education
Yay!!! I did it!!!
My Own Classroom
My very own classroom!
As I continue to work in the classroom and go to school, I have become more confident in my techniques as a teacher. I am learning and observing the things I want to apply to my classroom one day.
Getting My Master's Degree
I have to keep pushing forward
I will be recieving my B.A. in Early Childhood Education at the end of this week. I will then take the CBEST Test along with the CSET's to join a Teaching Program through the county I work for.
Becoming a Program Manager
Melissa Munoz Program Manager
Through the Teaching Program, I will be given a classroom that I can apply everything that I have learned. I will officially be the head teacher of my own classroom.
To Be Continued...
However, even though I am already a teacher, I still want to continue to go to school to my Master's in Program Adminstration.
I would like to be a Program Manager for AcCEL Program in our county. I want to be advocate for children with special needs. I feel that if I continue to work hard I can make a difference in others lives.
