The story of a man and his son forced to stay on an island

  • Daedalus is ordered by a king in Crete to build a massive palace with a round top and a labyrinth
  •      Climax
  • The king thanks Daedalus for his work but the king states that he and his son may never leave the island. The reason being is so that he will never tell the secret of how to escape the maze and what monster is in it. (The Minotaur)
  •    Falling Action
  • Deadalus and his son are given a by the king but the room is always guarded so that they will not make any attempt to escape. Eventually, Daedalus has an idea on how to escape he begs the bird that visits his window every night to spare him a feather. In which he decides to make wings for him and his son to fly

  • Daedalus starts and finishes his project on making wings so he and his son can fly away. Icarus attached his wings using hardening wax then stands at the window nervous but then he jumps
  • As he falls he realizes the wing work and that he is the first boy to fly. The guards of the palace stare in astonishment but eventually, all goes down. Likewise, Icarus thinks he can fly as high as the sun or even higher so he attempts but, as he gets higher and higher the wax melts and his wings start to slip off.
  • All Daedalus could do is stare and watch his son fall and all that remains are the feathers from his wings in the ocean
