It is I, your mother Hera. For your birthdays, there will be a competition and the winner will become a big god. No cheating!
Looks like I'm winning this time brother.
Father, please help me to win.
There were once two brothers, small gods, who always competed. Iroas (hero) and Fotiá (fire). Iroas was blond, tan, and athletic and was always winning while Fotiá was always told to be more like his brother. He was always filled with fiery anger over his brother and his fame.
Father will kill me.
Hera explained that there was a chalice on the top of the mountain in a cave and give it to Zeus. Mt. Heward was a mountain that the boys had never explored before so Fotiá was scared that his brother would win as always.
No father, please. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have spit lies and cheated, but don't hurt me, please. Fatherrrrr-
Scared that Iroas would win, Fotiá took his map and gave him one that would make him lost on the mountain. Iroas was busy praying to his father, Zeus that he may win, so Fotiá saw him praying the perfect time to mess with his stuff.
Zeus saw that Fotiá had cheated and was very mad, Seeing that Iroas was lost, he fell into a rage and that's when Fotiá knew that he messed up and was sorry immediately.
Zeus tells him that his lies will forever burn him and will never be forgiven while Fotia begs for mercy. Zeus tells him not to spit lies of fire and he should pay. He is giving him his punishment.
For spitting your lies of fire, you must forever spit these lies.
He was turned into a volcano and now must forever spit lies of fire. Iroas was turned into a more a powerful god and although Fotia was turned into a volcano, he would still alive and tried to get lava to Olympus to Punish zeus but has never succeded.
