  • Because she is not used to get in contact with strangers.
  • She looks very upset!
  • Produce similar responce to animated and unanimated individuals.  In this  stage the baby generally smiles to everyone and does not have a specific preference.  Happier in presence of other people or objects(toys).
  • MULTIPLE ATTACHMENT 1 year onward

  • In this  stage the baby starts to prefer specific people. The preference for animated individuals is stronger than the preference for unanimated individuals. the baby starts to recognise individuals and prefer them 
  • MULTIPLE ATTACHMENT 1 year onward
  • From around months the majority of babies start to display anxiety towards strangers and to become anxious when separated from one particular adult. At this point the baby have formed a specific attachment: the Primary attachment figure. This person is not necessarily the person the child spend most time with but the one who offers the most interaction and responds to the baby's "signals "  with the most skills.
  • After the first attachment the baby start to extend this attachment to multiple attachments with other adults with whom they regularly spend time. These relationship are called secondary attachments. -->
  • In Schaffer and Emerson's Study 29% of the children had secondary attachments within a month of (specific) attachment. By the age of about one year the majority of infants had developed multiple attachments.
