Storyboard Text

  • I miss my friends, I'm not having prom, I might have a virtual graduation.
  • Teens/young adults rely on school/ college as a place to socialize. Those years of communication are essential because as humans, talking to others is part of our nature, it boosts physical and mental health as well as the possibility of increasing life length and educational systems give us this opportunity to use positive psychology to develop the brain and increase cognitive ability. This is also the place to make friends which will ensure continuous enhancement of language.
  • Without socializing, living in quarantine can become boring and even scary for an average teen/ young adult. By constantly thinking of all the events/situations you missed and hearing news of people dying, it can cause a total loss of motivation. Depression, a mood disorder, is high around ages 12-25 years olds, and being stuck at home can make it worse since interacting with others is a coping mechanism that improves mental and emotional health, and losing that ability takes a huge toll on many people since not everyone is versatile.
  • There are many people, mainly teens/ young adults that don't take corona seriously and continue to live their lives believing a pandemic isn't occurring. They are not listening to the warning because they believe they are immune and safe compared to older generations. However the virus doesn't pick, it sends anybody to the hospital and there's always the possibility of death. However, if you happen to get it and stay healthy, you can be a potential carrier for Covid-19 and potentially spread it to someone that isn't as lucky
