- Queen Mary was born in 1516 on Feburary 18 to King Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon. When Henry got married to Anne Boleyn (Queen Elizabeth's mother) Queen Mary was declared illegitimate and removed from the line of succession.

- King Henry got married to his third wife and had his first son Edward VI. Henry decided to put Mary and Elizabeth back into the line of succession but after Edward. Edward died in 1553 after ruling for only 6 years. which allowed Mary to take the throne where she burned 300 Protestants at the stake after declaring England Catholic again.
