  • My theme for "The Monsters Due on Maple Street" is Assumption Can Cause Chaos. The first two evidence show how Assumption Can Cause Chaos is because it shows how Charlie assumed the shadow was a monster it made him shoot. You might be wondering how that shows Assumption Can Cause Chaos. The reason it shows this is because after Charlie shot, the people walked up to the body and noticed it was a friend named Pete Van Horn. So now you know Assumption Can Cause chaos because of this evidence by it showing how Charlie assumed it was a monster and made him shoot a fellow neighbor and killed him. On my third evidence when they found out Charlie shot Pete they started chasing Charlie, after a pursuit they became a mob and like most mobs they started to blame each other. Slowly, all the citizens of Maple Street started destroying everything which closes of my paragraph on how Assumption Can Cause Chaos.
  • Charlie: No more talk, Steve. You're going to talk us into a grave! You'd let whatever's out there walk right over us, wouldn't yuh? Well some of us won't!  He turns the gun etc... He shoots etc... They checked the body and they noticed it was their friend Pete Van Horn and they started chasing Charlie thinking he's the monster. Page 13/18
  • Voices: It must have been him. He's the one. We got to get Charlie. [Another rock lands on the porch. Now Charlie pushes his wife behind him, facing the group.] Charlie: Look, look I swear to you...it isn't me...but I do know who it is...I swear to you, I do know who it is. I know who the monster is here. I know who it is that doesn't belong. I swear to you I know. etc... Page 15/18
