  • Greek architecture was made to be even and carefully planned out. Many nations have adapted this style of architecture such as America's use of columns.
  • Legacy of Alexander the Great
  • By the time Alexander the Great had passed he had spread Greek culture and linked a large area together.
  • Math & Science
  • Euclid had written "The Elements" Which became a basis for modern geometry. The astronomer Aristarchus used mathematics to argue that Earth rotated on its axis.
  • Culture
  • The people of Greece had a common culture. They honored and worshipped the same heros, spoke the same language and all took part in the olympics.
  • Women
  • Women were now given more freedom. They could leave the house now. They could also paint. Some women became poets and others became philosophers.
  • Medicine
  • The Greek physician Hippocrates studied causes of illness. He would then look for cures setting the ethical standards for doctors.
