  •  Kyrgyzstan and The Cold War Danielle Jones pd.9
  • Religion-During the Cold War, Kyrgyzstan was encouraged to be atheist. The people who did the encouragement were the Soviets. But now Kyrgyzstan is mostly Muslim. 80% of their population Muslim. They are now a secular state. 
  • Politics- Has a similar government as the Soviet Republic. This is from the influence of the Soviets. Kyrgyzstan is also a Communist Party. There was no details or plans to make it a Communist Party. It is a one-party socialist republic.    
  • Education- Kyrgyzstan connected with the Soviets. Being with them improved their education. It also Improved their Literacy. The Soviets helped improve more things. Another is that the Soviets improved their standard literacy language. 
  • Economic- Going with the thing that the Soviets improved. They improved Kyrgyzstan's economics. But now its one of the poorest Countries. It is the 2nd poorest. When it was with the Soviet Republic, it was the 9th poorest. 
  •  Independence- In 1991, Kyrgyzstan acquired their present name. It use to be "Kigizia". They drop that name and declared their new one. Kyrgyzstan joins a Common Wealth of Independence States. But they are still in the Communist Party.
