Mr. white and his son are playing chess when someone knocks on the door who ends up being Sergeant-Major Morris.
Sergeant-major Morris throws the monkeys paw into the fire and Mr. White fishes it out and now has 3 wishes to use.
Mr. White wishes for two hundred pounds and the monkeys paw twist his hand and he drops the monkeys paw nothing happens and he doesn't get the two hundred pounds and he puts the monkey's paw back in his pocket.
Mr. and Mrs. White are told that their son was in a serious accident and was fatally injured, they were give two hundred pounds as commission.
Mr. White uses their second wish to get their son back but then hear knocking and Mr. White begins to get worried because of the previous consequences and tries to stop the wish with his third wish.
"I wish for my son back."
Before Mrs. White could open the door Mr. White uses his third wish and the knocking goes silent and they check out side an no ones out there.
