Storyboard Text

  • Israel is formed:
  • YAY!! We got our land back!
  • The next day:
  • In the past...
  • They just wanted a homeland:
  • On May 14th, 1948. Israel is officially formed. Jews are happy because now they declare their independence. And they have back their land from the Palestinians. The Jews finally had a home.
  • Time to flee:
  • Jews:
  • Palestinians:
  • On May 15th, 1948, the day after Israel was officially formed. Israel was attacked by six Arab Nations. The major reason behind this attack is because they rejected the partition because the Jews obtained more land than that they were supposed to have, and the partition wasn't fair.
  • Israel after war:
  • Jordan:
  • If the Jews would able to have a homeland in the first place, periods of violence against Jews such as the holocaust, severe discrimination and haterism towards the Jews could have been avoided.
  • Aftermath:
  • About approx. 750,000 Palestinians fled or were forced to leave. And also about approx. 800,000 Jews in Arab countries fled or were forced to leave to Israel.
  • Gaza Strip
  • In Israel, after the war, Egypt took over the Gaza strip. And Jordan took over the West Bank.
  • Egypt:
  • West Bank
  • Victory for the Jews! Israel gets to take much of Palestine, and western part of Jerusalem (eastern part including religious sites taken by Jordan).
