  • Rock is above ground and has not experienced rock cycle yet.

  • Rock has been pulled underground by weathering and erosion.
  • A long time later...
  • Rock gradually sinks closer to the inner core, where temperatures are more extreme and magma exists.
  • I hate my life... and the rock cycle...
  • Rock is finally exposed and melted by magma and begins to experience a volcanic eruption.
  • WHY AM I SHAKING!?
  • Volcanic eruption occurs and lava is exposed.
