  • In this scene Sargent-Major Morris throws the Monkey's Paw in the fire but Mr. White reaches in the fire to get it out. This is important becaues it shows how impulsive and careless Mr.White is because he warned about the consequences.
  • In this scene the Whites are given the terrible news that their son was dead but in return they were being given 200 pounds. This is important because Mr. White realizes that he wished his son's death when he wished for 200 pounds.
  • In this scene Mr.White is using his last wish to wish away his son. While Mr.White is making his last wish Mrs. White is opening the door to see if her son is outside. This scene is important becaues he was scared to reveal to his wife what his son looked like after he was crushed at his job.
