Foil is a character who is there to highlight qualities of another character by being their opposite in some aspect. The author used the foil by describing good vs. evil with the characters in the story. Foil is mostly done to make the main character traits more pronounced. It was a dark and gloomy day in London. With rain shadowing the light and people wonder what is going to happen today of all days.
Dr. Jekyll is a famous scientist that studies the mind. He went to best collages because he is very intelligent. He is respectful to the people that work for him and is very proper and clean.

Mr. Hyde is an evil man that can't be nice for his own good. He is cruel as he beats a women for running in to him. He acts impulsive and does things before he think. Also, he dresses grim and is unhealthy
