The Battle of Marathon
The Greeks strong weapons and armor were an advantage for the battle. The Persians bow and arrow weapons did no favor in the battle. The Persians had 2,000- strong Persian cavalry. The total strength of the Persian were 90,000 men. The Greeks had only between 10,000 and 20,000 soldiers. There were 6,400 Persians dead and only 192 Greeks dead. In the end the Greeks took the win of the battle of Marathon, but Persia made sure this wasn't the end of it.
