Storyboard Text

  • k so the topic is chemical bonding. it is the formation of a chemical bond between two or more atoms, molecules, or ions to give rise to a chemical compound.
  • oooohh but why do atoms do that?
  • it is so that their outer electron shells will be more stable.
  • there's 2 types of chemical bonding right?
  • mhmmm. the ionic and covalent bonding
  • what's ionic bonding????
  • ionic bonding is a type of chemical bonding wherein one element will transfer its electron to another element. it is composed of 1 metal and 1 non metal
  • give me an example hehe
  • Li is a metal while Cl is a non metal so they could now make an ionic bond. They are now called Lithium Chloride.
  • for example LiCl. Li has an extra electron so that means he could give it to Cl since he needs 1 more electron to make his outer electron shell stable
  • huh why did it became chloride? isnt it called chlorine?
  • it's because chlorine became anion
  • what the hell is anion bruh
