  • At The Ceremony of 12 everyone was getting called in order but not Jonas. Jonas was called last and was assigned with the Receiver of Memory. Having that assignment was very rare and was only given to a certain person.
  • The rules that Jonas was given were: 1. Go strait to your lessons with the Giver and not anywhere else after school. 2. Go strait home after getting done with lessons with the Giver. 3. You can be rude to everyone you want. 4. Don't tell anyone about what you do in training. 5. You can not tell anyone about you dreams you have had. 6. • STOP DON'T HAVE EMOTIONS!!!
  • In the Givers house there is many differences the main three are that he has many books and they aren't just rule books. He has locks on his doors and in no other house has locks nor needs them. The third and final main difference is that his house is comfy it has a nice and warm feeling about it which no other house had because they were all so normal.
  • Jonas stop throwing it so close to the ground. Jonas are you there? JONAS!?
  • On the first day of training the Giver gives Jonas three main memories. The first is a winter day, but the thing about the day is that Jonas got the word snow, sled, downhill, and runners. He also got to know of
  • The community can not make it's own decisions because making their own decisions will make things not go in a perfect order. They want everything to be perfect and having people not follow orders would not let everything be perfect.
  • Seeing to the "beyond" means seeing color. Jonas is able to see small flashes of red and now be can see other colors but mostly red.
  • Bye Jonas I'll see you later. Hopefully we can ride back together.
