  • Hi, Im Patrick Henry. I want freedom!
  • Sorry, I'd rather keep fighting for our independence but good luck!
  • We elected you to come make laws in the Virginia House of Burgess.
  • We have no representation in British parliament so why are we being taxed by them too?
  • This is Patrick Henry, He wants independence from Great Britain and against the king also known as a Patriot. He was a delegate to the continental congress.
  • "No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities........"
  • Patrick Henry was elected into the house of Burgess in Virginia to help make laws but he declined to keep protesting the king and parliament.
  • There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard on the plains of Boston! The war is inevitable²and let it come! I repeat it, sir, let it come!
  • Maybe I should join the Militia this guy is talking about.....
  • Patrick Henry then began planning a speech to give at the next meeting of the Continental Congress about fighting for freedom.
  •  I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!
  • Patrick Henry began his famous speech for the members of the continental congress.
  • Patrick Henry's speech was heard by the colonists as well which made them begin to think more about there freedom and joining the continental army.
  • Patrick Henry finished his speech with the famous lines "Give me liberty or give me death" and convinced many to declare war against the British.
