She had to do something to take care of her and her " precious babes ". So, she started cooking for a cotton gin and a lumberer mill.
The workers rushing out of work to get the good smelling food.
When she knew the workers were dependent on her she built a stall between between the cotton gin and the lumber mill. When it was lunch the workers would run over to her stall.
In her store she sold cheese, meal, syrup, cookies, candy, writing tablets, pickles canned goods, fresh fruit, soft drinks, coal, oil, and leather soles for worn out shoes.
