An important event in this chapter is when, Montag admits to his wife that he has been keeping books and reading them. His wife Mildred gets mad and want to burn the books. Then he starts to explain why books are beneficial.
Ways of Going Home
Faber! Where are you?
In this chapter Montag goes to see Faber, a man he met last year at the park that had a passion for books. They talk about books and their importance. Then they came up with a plan to take down Captain Beatty.
Burn for Burn
You killed Beatty and now we will kill your friend!

In the final chapter, Montag burned Captain Beatty and the hound. Since he did this, the city is on a manhunt for him, so he went to St. Louis with Faber’s friends. Faber’s friends are the people who memorize books.
Life After Life
Montag returns to the city after the bomb was dropped to see if there were any books that he could recover and to check on Faber. He doesn’t know that some fireman are still alive looking for him.
The fireman capture and hold Faber hostage for Montag killing Captain Beatty for books. Montag and the other firemen fight until the end and he burns the them.
After Montag got Faber back successfully, they cross the river to get to the settlement with the book people. They are now able to live the life they have always wanted to live with books.
