  • After the French Indian War the king was in debt and in order money that they pasted their first Act
  • The first Act that was pasted was the Stamp Act which made the British people pay tax on paper. This act was later repealed because the law was getting boycotted
  • The next act was the sugar act that taxed items like molasses 
  • After the sugar act was pasted the Townsend act was pasted. This taxed items like paper,glass and paint
  • In Boston the people were fed up with paying taxes so they started protesting. this event was called the Boston massacre because people were killed in this event
  • Later, all the acts were repealed BUT NOT the Tea act. this led to many people dumping over 300 boxes of tea overboard. this is the Boston Tea Party. After that the Parliament punished them by making more laws. This led to the first continental congress to prepare for war
