Hi! My name is miss Ergo. And today I want to talk to you about posture and movement and how they can affect our body.
Hi, miss Ergo! I am Jem. Ok, let's start!
Sit so your head and neck are upright and in-line with your torso, not bent down or tilted back. Keep your elbows comfortably close to your body. Feet flat on floor or footrest. Minimal bend at the wrist. Screen should be free of glare and should tilt and pivot. Area behind the knee not touching seat pan.
If your chair too low : -contact stress on wrist; -potential wrist and arm discomfort
If your chair too high : -hunched over; -potential wrist and upper arm discomfort.
Ok, you have to do micro-breaks every 20-40 minutes to avoid computer related injuries .
Also you can do some exercises. For example : shoulder and arm shake, side bends, and etc.
There are 4 types of risk with improper ergonomics : - awkward positions; - contact stress; - repetition; -forceful. If this is not avoided, you can get injury.
Thank you for your attention, Jem. I hope that you have found something intresting and useful in our conversation.
