The devil and Tom Walker

Tom Walker a man who was very stingy and abused his wife had an unhealthy relationship with his wife who was worse. Mrs.Walker was a very greedy and selfish person which was fuel to the fire they were.
The conflict begins when Tom Walker approaches the devil and is offered gold. Yet Tom Walker goes home to discuss this with his wife, she goes into the woods and never returns. With this happening Tom goes back to the woods to make a pact with the devil becoming a usurer.
At this time Tom has been booming due to usury. Yet he realizes what hes done with the devil and tries to repent by reading the bible and going to church. Then without warning Tom hears three loud knocks at the door.
The devil has came for Toms soul and take him to hell. He takes everything from him and his house is burned down.
With everything taken from Tom Walker the only thing in remembrance of him is a myth where "a figure on horse back, in morning gown and white cap" which is believed to be the usurer of Boston.
