I'm afraid Sophie has been infected by the Canine Influenza virus, and it is spreading rapidly throughout her cells.
Why did the virus not attack only one of her cells?
You see, the influenza virus infected a healthy cell, known as the host cell, which replicated into a new cell. This is process is supported by the third part of the cell theory.
What does the cell theory have to do with any of this?
These three parts of the cell theory are fundamental to the foundation of biology, all thanks to scientists Theodor Schwann, Matthias Schleiden, and Rudolf Virchow!

THE CELL THEORY
Are you saying that Sophie's going to be okay?
If it was not for this theory, none of the scientists today would have been able to analyze and create treatments to all of the illnesses and diseases today, like influenza.
As long as you give her these medications twice daily and keep her quarantined for two weeks inside your home, she should make a full recovery!
Thank you, Dr. Wells and the cell theory, for keeping everyone healthy!
You are very welcome! It was my pleasure to help you and Sophie, plus teach you some history about biology!
