- He then heads off to a place called Digitopolis, but then meets an unusual fellow named Alec who grows downwards
- He then heads off on his journey with Tock and a humbug but meets a strange man named Dr. Dischord and goes into the Valley of sound
- Milo saves the valley of sound and gives them sound then heads off
- Finally they reach digitopolis and meet the mathmagician who thinks number are more important than words
- Milo goes through ignorance, gets tricked by demons, then eventually saves Rhyme and Reason
- He goes home and realizes that he needs to start paying more attention to things.
