  • I think if scientists try to prove their hypothesis wrong, they will lead to proving a theory.
  • The church was wrong! The sun is in the center of our solar system.
  • You see how we are staying on the ground, not flying in to space. This is due to gravity.
  • I wish we had a better way of seeing what our solar system looks like...
  • This is Francis Bacon, born on January 22, 1561. He died on April 9, 1626. Francis Bacon developed the scientific method, meant for the purpose to prove scientists hypothesis's wrong. He was from the area of London in the United Kingdom.
  • This is Nicolaus Copernicus, born on February 19, 1473. He died on May 21, 1543. He was born in Poland, and he passed away in Poland. He is best known as the first astronomer to give the idea of a heliocentric solar system. He was from Toruñ, Poland.
  • Galileo I punish against house arrest, for going against the church's beliefs and traditions.
  • This is Isaac Newton, born on January 4, 1643. H passed away on March 31, in 1727. He lived in the United Kingdom. Issac Newton created the 3 laws of motion, and Newtonian Mechanics. He is also known for Universal Gravitation. He is from Woolsthorpe Manor in the United Kingdom.
  • Remember the sun is in the middle
  • This is Galileo Galilei. He was born February 15, 1564, and he died January 8, 1642. Galileo was Italian, and he is best known for his invention of the telescope. He's also known for kinetics, analytical dynamics, and heliocentrism. He was from Pisa, Italy.
  • The Scientific Revolution led to new scientific ideas and discoveries, and the church did not approve of this. The church wanted to stick with the traditional religious beliefs. The church had always taught of a geocentric solar system, so when the idea of the heliocentric came out, they disapproved. The church told scientists to stop their views, or they would be reaffirmed or excommunicated.
  • Something that the Scientific Revolution did that we still use today, is the heliocentric theory. When we go to space we use that theory to tell us where our solar system planets and stars are located. This theory lets people at space stations to help navigate people on the spacecraft.
