  • Hi there, my name is Bryce. And today I will tell you about the Civil War.
  • Cause of the War
  • Also, during the Civil War, General Butler created an order called "Butler's Woman's Order" that made woman sell their bodies.
  • Start of the War
  • The war started because the Union States wanted the Confederate states to be free states.
  • The Civil War is still important to this day because it is another reason why slavery ended.
  • Union War Efforts
  • The cause of the Civil War was that the Union states, free states, wanted the Confederate states, slave states, to be free.
  • Confederacy War Efforts
  • The war started by how the Union States wanted to take control of Louisiana because New Orleans, the main city, was the major port city and it had control of trade on the Mississippi River
  • Legacy of the War
  • The Union created a plan called "The Anaconda Plan." The Anaconda Plan would have eliminate the possibility of Confederate help from abroad. This was important to the generals of the Union because it helped them win the war.
  • The Union wanted the Confederate states to be free of slavery.
  • The Confederate states strategy is to burn all their supplies just in case the Union wins. The important generals are Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Ulysses S. Grant. They are the important generals of the Confederacy during the war because they led the confederacy to almost winning the war.
  • The Confederacy lost the war and which made the Union take over the Confederate states and make them free
  • The Civil War caused a massive destruction to the United States. The damage was so bad that it costed about $14 billion to fix all of the damage back then, but now it is about $5.4 billion.
  • The Civil War is still important to this day because it is another way that stopped slavery.
