  • The Continental Army was fighting on their homeland. With this, the Americans were able to use their knowledge of the land to their advantage with guerrilla warfare.

  • The Continental soldier were fighting for their homes and families. This made the soldiers more passionate for the cause.

  • The Continental Army was a militia that was made up of ordinary people. So nobody was trained to fight, nor knew how to.
