I'm afraid we'll have to dock here, men. Let's make it quick and get out of here.
See that cave up there? We will head up there. I smell roasting goat and perhaps whoever lives here will be friendly enough to share.
The men rushed into the cave, raging with hunger. But, after looking around and seeing a ginormous fireplace, Ulysses realized what a mistake he had made.
I do hope you stay for dinner. There are just enough of you to make a meal. What's your name?
Ulysses spoke to this Cyclops, named Polyphemus, trying to strike up a deal or work something out so that his men may leave safely.
I am Polyphemus. This is my cave, my mountain, and everything that comes here is mine.
I am Nobody.
Then, a giant hand came out of no where and grabbed one of Ulysses men. They watched the giant hand carry the man into a giant mouth! The men were horrified.
I am Nobody.
Ulysses tells Polyphemus that his name is Nobody as they talked, not giving away his true identity. Then he gets an idea. He gives the giant wine as a gift since it is a foreign drink to him, and the strength of the beverage puts Polyphemus to sleep.
Ulysses prepared his men to hold the Cyclop's head down, and then drew his sword and puts it in the fire. He pushed a boulder towards Polyphemus's head and climbed onto it.
