The Tiger jumped out vicious and bloodthirsty. It killed her lover and then some of the king's guards tempted it with a piece of meat and put the tiger back in its cage.
The princess wailed and ran out into the ring and knelt by her lover. "I'm so sorry." she said. "I couldn't let that lady marry you." A single tear dropped onto his chest.
Suddenly her lover's eyes started to open. "I forgive you," he said. The princess cried out in joy and they embraced each other. "How are you alive?" she exclaimed. "I don't know. but at least I am with you," he replied. And they lived happily ever after. Well kind of...
