  • Scylla and Charybdis Ella Mueller
  • "I told them nothing, as they could do nothing."
  • Circa warns Odysseus of two monsters ahead. She warns him of Scylla and Charybdis. She tells him to sail closer to Scylla. 
  • Odysseus tells his crew that if they steer away from Charybdis everything would be alright. 
  • Odysseus and his crew stay away from Charybdis, thinking they were going to be safe. 
  • Six men were eaten by the monster Scylla. 
  • Odysseus felt great guilt in losing his crew. He felt very bad for not letting them know. His crew was upset because they thought everyone was going to be okay.
  • "A deathly pity ran through me at that sight."
  • The crew sailed onwards listing to the men's screams.
