  • In 'The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street' a group os people loose all electricity because of a mysterious ship, but they don't know that. They end up turning against eachother. 
  • Conclusions

  • Steve the powers off. I had the soup on the stove and the stove just stopped working.

  • No more talk, Steve you're going to talk us into a grave! You'd let whatever's out there walk right over us, wouldn't yuh? Well some of us won't.
  • Jumping to conclusions is risky when the situation is unfamilair , the stakes are high, and there is no time to collect more information.
  • Everyone jumps to conclusion about their neighboors and it becomes a dangerous situation.

  • The setting hepled reveal the theme because maple street was a very calm place and then one day a little mishap turned them againist each other that shows don't be too quick to assume .

  • We feel the conflict helped reveal the theme the most.We feel that since the conflict showed that when you draw conclusions to quickly than there are many consequenses.
  • In the story becuase Charlie jumped to conclusions quickly he shot Pete Van Horn. Charlie thought that Pete was soe sort of alien and so Pete gotjust because Charlie jumped to conclusions to quickly.
  • The conflict helps reveal the theme in this story because people jump to conclusions to quickly and it shows that when you jump to conclusions to quickly there can be man problems and consequences.
