  • The phosphate in the rocks is weathered down due to rain and releases the phosphate into the soil.
  • The plants take in the phosphate ions from the soil. This allows cell development and is a key component in storing energy in all living organisms.   
  • Herbivores animals (the bunny) eat the plants and consume the phosphate.
  • The phospate is passed on when the herbivores animals (bunny) is eaten by the carnivores animal (Fox). 
  • The fox was hit by the truck and will decompose on the side of the road.
  • The phosphate is released back into the soil then the process repeats.
