Once upon a time two twin brothers, Romulus and Remus, were born to Rhea Silvia a vestal Virgin, and Mars the God of War. Rhea's father Numitor was king, but Numitor’s brother Amulius wanted to become king.
So Amulius seized the brothers and put them into a basket. He then threw them into the river Tiber, leaving them there to drown.
However the brothers were rescued by a she wolf who raised them. Then they grew up and the shepherd Faustulus found them. So he took them and cared for them.
The brothers grew big and strong so one day they left. They discovered who they really were and decided to put there grandfather back on the throne. So they killed Amulius.
After doing this Romulus and Remus decided to build a city but they couldn’t decide where to put it. Romulus wanted it on Palatine hill but Remus wanted it on Aventine hill. So they each made their own city.
Then One day Remus made fun of the wall of Romulus’s city by jumping over it. Romulus got so angry that he killed Remus and swore that anyone would made fun of his city would die. Then he became the king of his city and named it Rome.
