Edgar Allan Poe lived with a man. Poe liked this man, he was always kind to Poe, but still Poe didn't like something about the man, because of this Poe hadn't really talked to him. The thing about the man that bugged Poe, was his eye. He had a vulture eye that gave him the creeps.
Stop the ringing. I killed the man.
Every night for a whole week he watched the man and plotted to kill him to get rid of the eye. He waited to see the eye and kill him.
One night he saw the old mans eye got ready to kill him, but Poe made a noise, so Poe waited and then when the man fell asleep and then he killed killed him and hid the evidence.
Then the cops came because the neighbor heard a shriek and was concerned, but Poe had let them. He wasn't worried about being caught for he hid all of the evidence and then he made sure there was nothing to be found about the man.
Then, Poe had gotten this horrid noise in his head and it kept getting louder and louder and then he finally gives up and confesses that he killed the man.
The author is unreliable because when he heard the loud noise he claimed that it wasn't in his head and that the cops could hear it but were messing with him, when really he was going insane and he was the only one that could actually hear the noise.
