  • What Are The Importance's of The Battles of Saratoga?
  • We ( The French Government) have recognized the colonists cause and will be entering the war as their ally!
  • Why Valley Forge Was Important? What Happened There?
  • Valley Forge
  • Who Was Thomas Paine? What Did He Do?
  • Thank You
  • What I found important of the Battles of Saratoga was that the American victory convinced the French government to formally recognize the colonists cause and enter the war as their ally. Also it gave grace to the 1777 British Invasion during the American Revolutionary War.
  • How Was Foreign Aid Helpful? Who Contributed?
  • Valley Forge was important because it made the army grow stronger, and be more determined to win the war. What happened at Valley Forge was the men under Washington's army faced hardships such as the cold winter, starvation, and disease.
  • How Did The War Affect Families?
  • Thomas Paine was similarly astute. His Common Sense was the clarion call that began the revolution. When Washington's troops retreated from New York through New Jersey, he rose to the challenge of literary warfare.  He gave the words that would spark the revolution.
  • How Were Loyalists Treated In The Colonies?
  • Foreign aid was helpful because the people (including Jean Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, the Comte de Rochambeau, and his troops) played a desisive role in the Revolution.  Rochambeau actually joined George Washington in fighting aginst the British.
  • The war of The Battles of Saratoga affected families because the children had to cope with their fathers not being with them,  the wives had to take care of the family, and manage a household and farm all on their own.
  • BYE
  • Loyalists in the colonies were mostly African- American slaves so they were not treated fairly at all. For example, they had their land taken from them, their estates burned, and they were tarred and feathered.
