This snow reminds me of all those things that happened years ago...
The Boston Massacre of 1770
You maniacs! We were just rioting!
The Boston Tea Party of 1773
No more of your taxed tea!
John Adams stands out in the snow, thinking about his past.
The Introducing of the Intolerable Acts of 1774
You've done it now! Now the port of Boston is closed, trials for soldiers will be held in England, we pretty much control your government and the quartering act is back in effect!
Despite it being more of the colonists fault than the British, through several tellings and pictures of the British firing on peaceful colonists, the colonists were enraged with the fact that the British soldiers were there and were sure they needed to go.
The Battle of Lexington and Concord
Never, you filthy lobsters!
Give up your guns, or else!
After the Tea tax was passed, the colonists became mad and, dressing up like native americans, they boarded several ships, split open several hundred tea crates open and tossed them into the harbor, effectively destroying much of the British tea.
Oh, yes. I was just...thinking.
John, are you coming inside? Its so cold out here.
In response to the Boston Tea Party, the British passed the Intolerable (Coercive) Acts to whip them into shape. There were five acts, but only four of them were really recognized.
The British were afraid of revolt from the colonists, so they marched to where the guns were kept to steal them so the colonists could not fight back. The colonists tried to stop them at Lexington, failed, retreated to Concord, then drove them back at Concord effectively.
Abagail Adams wakes him up from his daydreaming, asking if he wishes to come inside.
