This scene is where they couldn't afford a hotel and had to sleep in a bathroom. I feel empathy for them because they are clearly struggling and have nowhere else to go. Chris had lost his apartment and the hotel they were staying in. Now they ran out of options and went to the restroom in the subway.
This scene is where Chris gets the job at the brokerage firm and will now have a steady income. I feel empathy for him because after all of the stress he has had during his internship, he was fortunate enough to be the 1 of 20 interns to get the job.
This is the last scene of the movie where Chris picks his son up early because he got the stock broker job. I feel very happy for him because he's been through so much and he deserved to be successful. Throughout the movie he was hard working and trying his best. He wasn't lazy by any means, and because of that he is now successful.
