- Mom, why is one of our dog brown-colored when his parents are golden and a combination of black and white?
- It's because of what we call "incomplete dominance", wherein the traits of their parents mixed up.
- That's why our golden retriever and husky had a puppy with mixed color, which is brown.
- Oh, now I get it.
- How about the flower I saw in our garden, why is it a combination of white and pink?
- Let's go to the garden, I'll explain it there.
- This flower is a result of what we call "co-dominance". Wherein both colors of the flower it came from are shown equally.
- Wow, that's a beautiful flower. Thank you, mommy!
