Storyboard Text

  • Before Banquos death
  • (III. i . 1-3) Banquo talks about what great darkness Macbeth has gone through to accomplish what he has
  • "Thou hast it now, King, Cawdor, Glamis, all, as the weird women promised, and i fear thou play'dst most foully for't:"
  • Plotting against Banquo
  • Macbeth did not want to kill anyone but now he is in touch with his evil side because his parinoia is leading him to the death of Banquo
  • "To be thus is nothing, but to be safely thus: our fears in Banquo stick deep, and in his royalty of nature reigns that which would be feared." (III . i . 53-55)
  • "Put Rancours in vessel of my peace only for them, and mine eternal jewel given to the common enemy of man, to make them kings, the seed of Banquo King!" (III . i . 1-74)
  • After Banquos death
  • (III . ii . 35-38) Macbeth knows what he has done and has fooled others to do for power. He now wants to fool more of the kingdom and disguise his evilness by using Flattery.
  • "Unsafe the while, that we must leave our honours in these flattering streams, and make our faces vizards to our hearts, disguising what they are,"
