  • "Take the Present horror from the time, Which now suits with it. Whiles I threat, he lives: Words to the heat of deeds too cold breath gives"  ( II. ii . 67-69)
  • (He better do it before he losses his nerve.) Macbeth is nervous and afraid to do the deed
  • After Killing Duncan
  • Macbeth rather forget himself than see what he has done. Macbeth feels shame and guilt.
  • "Wake Duncan with thy knocking!I would thou couldst!" ( II. ii. 90 )
  • After killing Duncan
  • " How is't with me, when every noise appals me? What Hands are here? Ha! They Pluck out mines Eyes! Will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood clean from my hands? ( II. ii . 74-77 )
  • Macbeth is very paranoid because of what he did to Duncan to cause his death.
