  • the setting, Salem, 1690
  • came from England for religious purposes
  • Who were the puritans ?
  • They are strict christians that  came to America to practice their religion
  • suspicious behavior was detected and observed and the only reason to blame their behavior is devils work, which then they were blamed as a witch(see what i did there).
  • Bewitched
  • On trial
  • you could either admit you were a witch, lose all your property, then go to jail . If you didn't and you were accused you would either be tortured more the longer you wouldn't admit you were a witch.
  • Death or escape
  • If you were fortunate enough to get your parents to pay your bail in jail, then you could  move to New York.
  • They would do multiple tests and  if you were accused they would hang you or crush you to death if you wouldn t confess.
  • what can we learn from the Salem witch trials?
  •  Well kids, what life lesson did we learn today? Act like an idiot, then pretend to fly on a broom, then go to jail .
