Yet, the twins survived and were nurtured by a she-wolf, until one day they were found by a shepherd named Faustulus
There was once a country called Alba Longa . It was a peaceful country untill one day, the king, Numitor, was overthrown and sent to exhile by his brother, Amulius.
Move over loser, there is a new king in town and that's me!
To make sure he couldn't be overthrown, Amulius forced Rhea Silva, Numitors daughter, to become a preistess thinking that she now couldn't get married or have kids. However, this is not exactly what happened...
Lets name him Romulus...
...and him Remus
In fear of being overthrown, after finding out about the twins, Amulius put them in a basket and threw them into the Tiber River, thinking they would die.
So long suckers
Well now they are not a problem any more.
These kids can't live out here on their own. I'm going to adopt them.
They lived with Faustulus untill one day, Remus lost a battle to a shepherd and had to go to his boss. The boss turned out to be the twins long lost grandfather, Numitor! They learned about Amulius' devious acts and made Nuimitor king again.
I'm your grandfather! Help me become king again?
The twins decided to build a city on the spot where they had been found. They named this city, Rome. One day, in a fight over the height of the walls, Romulus killed Remus. Romulus ruled Rome untill his death on February 17th, 717 BCE. He is celebrated on February 17th of every year.
The walls are Rome are too short! A city like Rome should have taller walls!
No they are good!
I should just kill you, so I don't have to hear your opinion anymore and rule Rome alone!
