Storyboard Text

  • 2(m+10) = 4(m-15)
  • The problem is 2(m+10) = 4(m-15). You have to first use the distribution process.
  • 2m+20 = 4m-60
  • It will then be 2m+20 = 4m-60. You then need to find the smallest variable and subtract it from both sides.
  • 20 = 2m-60
  • That will make it be 20 = 2m-60. The next step is that you have to subtract 60 from both sides.
  • 80 = 2m
  • That will make it 80 = 2m. You then need to divide 80 by 2.
  • m = 40
  • Making the answer m = 40.
  •
  • Write this down in your notebooks.
