This is where they were hold. They used tents for the Union soldiers to live in.
This Prison held more prisoners than any other Prison in the Civil war, and it was bad supplied and dirty.
The prison did not have a good water stream because it was filled with sewage.
The prison hurt our nation because Union soldiers died in the prison and nearly 13,000 died out of 45,000.
Troops that were at the prison said that they have never seen this much filth and misery
