On Manor Farm, the main caretaker, Mr. Jones, is constantly drunk and neglects and mistreats all of the animals. After being fed up with this, the eldest and wisest pig, Old Major, comes up with a plan to override Mr. Jones' authority.
Therefore Old Major decided it was time for a rebellion against Mr. Jones and his careless actions. He called for all the animals to meet and discuss how they would all collectively rise up against him. So they all decided to run him out of the farm and take it as their own. Months later after successfully doing that they had the farm to themselves, unforetunately old Major didn't live to see it happen.
Stop! Get out of the van, Boxer, they're bringing you to your death!
In the Battle of The Cowshed, Mr. Jones and twelve other men come back to claim their land. However the animals don't give in that easily. Snowball, having had learned some battle strategies from a book he read, led the animals in the attack against the humans. In the end they come out victorious and the animals make two awards,
With Snowball gone and chased out by Napoleon's extremely loyal dogs, Napoleon has full rein over all of the animals. He begins to make trades with various humans. One of the being Pinchfield farm, however this wasn't a loyal trade and the Pinchfield farm soon invaded the farm and blew up the windmill that they had worked very hard on. There was then a crazy battle between the two and it ended in many casualties on both ends. Napoleon was quick to call it a victory even though a few animals disagreed.
Boxer had suffered a dangerous injury during the Battle of the windmill, Boxer's foot is in serious pain, but Boxer keeps moving forward and keeps with his saying of, "I will work harder". In this case, it's not helping him and he pushes so hard that he ends up collapsing. All the animals are very concerned and Squealer reports back saying that Napoleon is getting him the best veterinarian in the area. However when the "vet" comes to pick him up, they see the word "Knacker" on the side and they all freak out. Then a few days later Squealer reports back saying that Boxer died in the hospital and after a vivid explaination the animals end up believing him.
A few years pass, when the animals witness something extremely out-of-the-ordinary and scary. The animals saw Napoleon, Squealer and many other pigs, walking on their hind-legs. All the animals are frightened by this and walk to the window of the farmhouse to go see them. They witness the pigs conversing with Pinchfield farm. Napoleon goes on to say a speech about how he would be making many changes to the farm and making it basically back to what it used to be with Mr. Jones. At the end, the pigs looked and acted so much like humans it was hard to distinguish them from the humans.
