  • Rising Action
  • When Roy Eberhat moves to Coconut Cove, he doesnt; think much of it. But when he sees a barefoot kid running by, he starts to get curious. Meanwhile, weird things are going on at the construction site for the new pancake house. Could all of this be connected?
  • Climax
  •   Roy meets two friends;  Mullet Fingers, and Beatrice. They are siblings. Beatrice hides Mullet Fingers away from their parents. Mullet Fingers hides near a hidden pond. He earned his nickname because he is able to catch a mullet.  .
  • Falling Action
  •  Mullet Fingers is trying to stop a pancake company from destroying some burrowing owls homes. So he creates problems for the company. For instance, he puts poisonous snakes near the dogs. Roy ends up helping Mullet Fingers and Beatrice. 
  • Resolution
  • When Mullet Fingers is trying to sabotage the construction site, he gets bitten by a guard dog. He goes under Roys name in the hospital; that way his parents aren't notified. But Roys' are, and they go to the hospital confused. Meanwhile, Mullet Fingers escapes and hides.
  • Mullet Fingers takes pictures of the owls to show as proof to everyone during the middle of the night. Roy shows all of his peers at school pcs of the owls to try to convince everyone to stop the Pancake House. 
  • Roy, Mullet Fingers, "Mother Paula" and Beatrice take a stand at the ground breaking for the Pancake House. They don't move away from the owls until the vice president of the company gives up. It's revealed that the company hid the E.I.S. so that no one could stop them.
