My memories of my childhood will always be with me
Lizabeth and Joey would run wild in the sun with other children. Lizabeth used to squat in the road drawing a picture in the dust. She fish for minnows in a muddy creek and watching sadly as they eluded her cupped hands.
Lizabeth furiously leaped into the mounds of marigolds and pulled madly, trampling and pulling and destroying the perfect yellow blooms, Lizabeth felt horrible she was standing in the ruined little garden among the uprooted and ruined flowers, crying and crying, she new it was to late to undo what she had done.
after Lizabeth had destroyed the marigolds , she felt that in that humiliating moment she looked beyond herself and into the depths of another person. she made a contribution for miss Lottie to plant marigolds again however she never panted marigolds again. For one does not have to be ignorant and poor to find that one's life is barren as the dusty yards of one's town. And I have to planted marigolds.
